Every Vision Begins Somewhere

IntraLife Healing Arts grew from years of study, hands-on practice, education, and experience working alongside people navigating real-life medical, developmental, emotional, and family challenges.

But the heart of IntraLife became especially clear in Fall 2021.

That was when we launched our first pilot program at The Lotus Tree, a children's clinic providing occupational, physical, speech, and other therapies.

We began asking a different question:

What if integrative healing therapies could be brought directly into a clinical environment instead of requiring families to search for them somewhere else?

And what if we cared not only for the child receiving therapy - but for the family surrounding that child?

The Moment That Changed the Vision!

One experience from that program stayed with Ashiauna.

A child we will call "C" experienced an important breakthrough during therapy. It was a wonderful moment.

But something else happened. As the parent watched their child receive care, there came a realization:

The parent was depleted too!

So much energy had gone into caring for the child that there had been little space left to recognize the needs of the caregiver.

That moment helped crystallize something fundamental about IntraLife: you cannot always separate the person who is struggling from the people who love and care.

Families Also Need Healing Spaces

And sometimes the person who has spent years taking care of everyone else needs someone to turn toward them and ask: How are you doing?

From One Pilot program to a Larger Mission

The Lotus Tree pilot became the beginning rather than the destination.

IntraLife expanded its work to the Women's and Children's Alliance, where integrative therapies can support people recovering from abuse, tragedy, and violence and the professionals engaged in that demanding work.

And our vision continues to grow.

We imagine integrative practitioners working alongside conventional healthcare providers throughout Idaho - in clinics, hospitals, hospice care, organizations serving people affected by trauma, and anywhere people could benefit from another layer of compassionate support.

Why "Recognize" Matters

Ashiauna often returns to one word: RECOGNIZE!

  • Not create.

  • Not manufacture.

  • Not fix.

  • Recognize.

To recognize the inner healer means remembering that a person is more than what has happened to them.

  • More than a diagnosis.

  • More than their pain.

  • More than their trauma.

  • More than the role of patient, parent, caregiver, or survivor.

At IntraLife, our hope is to provide tools to bring ourselves back together and a place where that recognition can begin.
